Returns Policy

Last updated: August 2026

In short: we exchange or refund items that arrive with a genuine factory defect and are not covered by a manufacturer's warranty. Where a product carries a warranty, that warranty — not this returns process — is how it's resolved.

What Is Covered

We will exchange or refund a product where:

Warranty Items

Many of the products we sell — including most 3D printers, laser cutters and electronics — are covered by a manufacturer or supplier warranty. If your item develops a fault and is still within its warranty period, it must be handled as a warranty claim, not a return. Contact us and we'll guide you through the manufacturer's claims process, which may include a repair, replacement, or their own assessment of the fault.

This returns policy applies only where no such warranty exists or applies to the item in question.

What Is Not Covered

How to Request an Exchange or Refund

  1. Contact us at irene@mrscrafty.co.za with your order number, a description of the defect, and photos or video where possible.
  2. We'll assess whether the item is a factory defect and whether a warranty applies. We may ask for the item to be returned to us or sent directly to the manufacturer for inspection.
  3. Once confirmed, we'll arrange an exchange for the same item, or a refund to your original payment method, at our discretion.

Your Rights Under the CPA

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Where the CPA entitles you to a repair, replacement or refund — for example, for goods that fail to meet required standards within six months of delivery — those statutory rights apply regardless of the terms above.
